Biography

With a passion for education and research, Qian conducts comprehensive research and carries out evaluations aimed at advancing literacy education. Prior to working at the Iowa Reading Research Center, Qian was an education program consultant for the Iowa Department of Education. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Qingdao University of Technology, a Master of Education from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and a Doctor of Philosophy in evaluation, measurement, and research from Western Michigan University. In her free time, Qian enjoys hiking, swimming, and immersing herself in a good book.
