The IRRC conducts research to guide the improvement of literacy instruction and the reading performance of students. Broadly speaking, we conduct field-initiated research. In this type of research, a collaborative process is used to design a custom research study to better understand persistent problems and create solutions.
At no cost, we provide research and evaluation services to schools and districts in Iowa. For a fee, we offer similar services to schools and districts outside of Iowa.
We work with your team to develop research questions, project activities, and timelines. Findings of the project have a direct application to schools and classrooms, and they can inform literacy practices in Iowa and across the United States.
