Biography
Kimberly is a research assistant professor for the Iowa Reading Research Center. Prior to working at the IRRC, Kimberly taught middle and high school special education in both public and private school settings. She earned a master’s degree in reading and a doctorate in special education. During her doctorate program, she worked as a research assistant and project coordinator for a grant examining how teachers’ reading instructional practices for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities affect student reading outcomes. In her free time, Kimberly enjoys spending time with her dog, cooking, crafting, and visiting local farmer’s markets.
