Jill Thoele

Research Fellow
Biography

Jill is a clinical assistant professor of special education at the University of Iowa and a research fellow for the Iowa Reading Research Center. Jill taught special education for 12 years and held roles as a teacher, coordinator, behavior therapist, and behavior consultant. As a research fellow, she looks forward to diving back into reading research and supporting practice-based projects to support the development of K-12 families in literacy. Jill earned a master's in behavior and learning disabilities from Georgia State University and a doctorate in special education from University of Georgia. Outside of work, Jill enjoys running, cooking, and reading.
