Biography

Lindsay Shultz is dedicated to improving the lives of children through literacy instruction. As a technical assistance provider, she has the opportunity to do just that when working with educators across Iowa. She is motivated by the conviction that reading is a civil right and that all children deserve teachers who know the science of reading. Previously, Lindsay worked as an elementary school teacher and the pre-kindergarten–Grade 6 instructional coach for the West Branch Community School District. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Northern Iowa and a master’s degree in reading science from Mount St. Joseph University. Lindsay also holds a Dyslexia Specialist Endorsement from the University of Iowa. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the reading science program at Mount St. Joseph University. In her free time, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her four sons and attending their various sporting events.
