Mindy VanZuiden
Mindy VanZuiden is a member of the Decoding Dyslexia Iowa Board of Directors. She is also a dyslexia specialist with Mid-Prairie Homeschool Assistance Program.
Mindy has 18 years of experience in education. Previously, she has worked as a public-school educator in Illinois, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Iowa.
Mindy earned both her bachelor’s degree in physical education and her master’s degree in education leadership from Aurora University. She also holds dyslexia specialist certification from the University of Florida.
Mindy is also a board member of Step by Step Dyslexia Solutions and the owner of Tutorburg, a literacy tutoring program geared towards supporting students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other learning disabilities.
As a member of the IRRC Advisory Council, Mindy hopes to provide the perspective of a homeschool educator and the parent of a child with dyslexia.
Mindy enjoys homeschooling her three children and traveling with her husband on business trips.
