Rachel Wallace enjoys collaborating with diverse groups of people and working behind the scenes to contribute to the mission of the Iowa Reading Research Center. Rachel is the primary organizer of the IRRC’s annual Iowa Science of Reading Summit. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business at Mount Mercy University and a master’s degree in HR development at Indiana State University. She recently obtained her PHR certification. In her free time, Rachel loves walking her two rescue dogs, watching and reading everything true crime, assembling puzzles, and traveling to odd and quirky places with her spouse (think World’s Largest Catsup Bottle). Rachel has also spent the past three years preparing home-cooked meals for local families as a volunteer with Lasagna Love.
