Biography

Ramona Parrish believes that literacy can be “a great equalizer for all students,” and she aims to empower teachers with the knowledge and skills they need to support their students’ reading development. Previously, Ramona served as a curriculum and instructional leader for K-12 multilingual learners and K-5 literacy in Ottumwa Community School District. She has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Buena Vista University. Ramona is a founding board member of Whatsoever You Do, a nonprofit that assists individuals in need of clothing, furniture, and housing in southeast Iowa. In her free time, she enjoys reading mystery novels, boating, and cycling with her family.
