With a passion for literacy, Stephanie is excited for the opportunity to have a greater impact on literacy work in Iowa. Previously, she worked as an instructor of education at William Penn University in Oskaloosa and has had a 26-year teaching career at the elementary and middle school levels. She earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Fitchburg State College, and her master’s degree in education from Viterbo University. Stephanie is also a co-founding member of the pending Iowa Chapter of The Reading League and serves on the Iowa Dyslexia Board. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys being with family, going on walks with her dogs and friends, reading, watching movies, and doing puzzles.
