Wanda Steuri is the dyslexia and science of reading consultant at the Iowa Department of Education. During her 29 years in the field of education, she has held the roles of elementary teacher, curriculum director, instructional coach, district-level ELA curriculum coordinator, Iowa Reading Research Center consultant, and AEA literacy consultant. Wanda has received a BS in elementary education, an MEd in elementary educational leadership, an EdS in educational administration with a reading specialist concentration, and a dyslexia specialist endorsement. At the Iowa Department of Education, she is a member of the Iowa Dyslexia Board, and she coordinates LETRS professional learning, serves as a member of the Statewide Literacy Leadership Team, and assisted as a co-lead for the Iowa Literacy Standards review process. She also collaborates and presents across bureaus, with external partners, and with school districts to support dyslexia and literacy improvement.
