Sydney Hobza
As a graduate assistant for the Iowa Reading Research Center, Sydney is excited to help educators apply research findings in practical settings. Sydney supports the Cursive Letter Identification and Formation for Transcription and Early Reading (CLIFTER) project, helping the center create instructional tools for cursive handwriting. Previously, Sydney was a research assistant in the Learning Lab for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and she has worked in afterschool programs for Lincoln Public Schools. Sydney has a BS in communication sciences and disorders from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is currently pursuing an MA in speech-language pathology at the University of Iowa. In her free time, Sydney enjoys running, reading, going to coffee shops, and thrifting.
